Oh Happy Day!!

So very very excited... New toys... I couldn't believe my local Michaels already had the new Teresa Collins cricut cartridge. It is a fabulous cartridge I cannot wait to use it, I'm thinking Baby Announcements...

... And Baby Announcements would not be complete without some of this beautiful Baker's Twine from The Twinery.

I love the organization idea I got off The Twinery blog. Glass jars and punch a hole in the top with the Cropodile. These little jars are from Walmart, there were 12 of them for like $7. Which in my opinion is a great number since there are 11 different colors of twine *hint hint*.

Scrappy Holidays are G-R-E-A-T-!!!!

Happy belated Fourth of July!! Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and day off, I know I did. I scrapbooked all day... well of course when I wasnt partaking in delicious BBQ or 4th of July goodies like watermelon.

I am working on getting the Baby's book all up to date by the time he/she comes. Here are a few pages I did yesterday. Please forgive me, the pictures aren't the greatest, but it is already hot outside and in my house so I am being lazy. I used my iPhone and took the pictures while the pages were still in the album. I have about 3 more pages to go and then I think I am all caught up with the album!! Just in time too, because next week there will be tons of Baby Shower pictures.

Fabulous Hardware store find...

So I went to the hardware store the other day to buy a spray bottle for my Yudu. And look what I found....

Not quite sure what it is originally intended for, but I knew what I was going to use it for. MINI-ALBUMS. I love finding cute new ways to display them around the house. I have so many. They need to be out and seen and easily accessible. Hope everyone has a super fabulous long weekend. I personally am waiting for my box of scrapbook goodies that I ordered earlier in the week. They should be here today... and 3 whole days to play with them!!

Scrappy Sunday

What a great Sunday, a trip to my favorite scrapbook store (Remember When, Valencia, CA) and then finsih the day off scrapbooking and playing with all the new goodies.

Check us out... my scrapbook partner in crime, Christina and I have really done good with making the little counter roll over. We decided today that our new goal was to see if we could see a third digit by the end of the year. Half way through the year and more than half way to 100 I would say that we have a really good chance of making our goal!!

Oh where oh where have I been?!?!?!

Busy Busy Busy... that's where... but more importantly pregnant and tired!! There aren't enough hours in the day when all you want to do is sleep/rest after you've worked a full 8 hrs. I've done some scrapping and crafting just haven't been good about keeping up with my blog.

And a few projects I have worked on...

I made this mini-album for a coworker that just left on maternity leave... there are 3 of us at work that are pregnant. Don't drink the water!!

And here are some Mother's Day ribbons I made for my mother and grandmother...

And last but not least... One year of happily being married and 3 months until baby comes...

Make-shift scraproom

My husband and I recently moved, so my scrapbook room is slowly being reassembled... but a girl can only go so long without being crafty. I have been having withdrawals!! Those that scrap understand, those that don't do not. I think the grils at work think I am a little off my rocker but I tried to explain to them it's like walking in everyday and having everything in your bedroom in boxes still. It has been almost two months since I have done anything crafty, I had such high hopes for the month of December. However since my scrapbook room started being put in boxes mid-November my visions of Christmas mini albums and beautiful cards were dashed.

But enough is enough!! I came home sick from work today and after about 4 hours of tv watching I decided there had to be something I could get out of a box to work on that wouldn't require me to turn everything upside down looking for the supplies I needed. And then I remembered...
A blank work book that spells "USC"... I've had it for months with good intentions... so I went for it...
Turned out pretty nice I think, quite proud of me... just takes a little push of boredom and look what comes of it... lots to do still until the finished product but a good start all the same.

And here was my make-shift scraproom... it will have to get me through for a few more days... dining room... phew who needs one... lol. Tomorrow is work holiday and I planned on scrapbooking so scrapbook I will.

Trying new things...

So today I dug my sewing machine out of the back of my closet and decided to give it a try. I was making a Bridal Shower page today and thought it would look great with a little stitching. It was a little scrary at first since I don't technically know how to sew, but I know enough basics to put some stitches on my page. I am quite proud of how it turned out. I also ventured out in the land of ink. I broke out my new Tim Holtz distress inks and blended some "Wild Honey" onto the edges of the paper. Two new fun things that were so easy but with such beautiful results.
