So not that I have had to work for the last two weeks, but I do like the weekend. I have been on maternity leave for 2 weeks now. And I haven't done nearly as much scrapping as I should have. I cleaned it all up for fear I would go into labor and then have a big mess in my house. But then I decided Weds after my doctor's visit and no progress from the week before with baby, to pull it all back out.

Here is a page I created for the baby album. I finally got around to making a page with a banner on it. It's the "title" page so to say for the Baby Shower pictures. I've adopted a new way of scrapping when my subject has tons of pictures. Create one title page with all the bells and whistles and then the rest of the pages I design and put together without pictures. After I have what I think to be the proper number of 2-page spreads then I go back and add the pictures and small details/journaling that is needed. I did this recently for a USC album that I created for my father. I used all my USC themed paper and do-dads, made about tons of 2-page spreads, then I went back and just started adding pictures and titles. I had a whole album finished within a week. It's a quick great way to complete a large set of pictures. I don't know about you, but I tend to shy away from big sets of pictures. Which is why I don't have tons of holiday pictures in my album, when you have 100+ pictures to scrap it's a bit overwhelming. So this is my new tactic, and in all honestly once the pictures are on the page you never can tell that's how the page was designed. With that amount of pictures to be scrapped the page doesn't need lots of extras besides a pretty background to start with.
Well keep your fingers crossed hopefully my next post will the have the newest member of our family in it. I am due on Tuesday, and I am determined not to go past 40 weeks. I hear most of you laughing at me. I went and walked the entire mall yesterday quite briskly, both levels. I have to say I think we have progressed today, I'll spare you the details. ;-) Happy scrapping until then.
